Screen printing on glass
Screen printing, widely applicable and cost-effective, uses enamel and UV-cured inks known for their opacity. UV inks offer more colors. However, multicolor designs can be time-consuming due to separate screens for each color. Graphics are typically printed on the front of the glass, sealed or bonded to a touchscreen. Ink exposure to corrosion is minimal, except at glass edges. It is a method that is proven over time. Contact our packaging team to see if screen printing is the right customization for your glass packaging project.
Digital printing on glass
Digital glass printing is similar to an inkjet printer, requiring a digital art file for printing. It's highly flexible for design changes, unlike screen printing. Modifying digital art is quick, making it ideal for prototyping and faster product launches. However, lighter colors may need multiple layers for opacity, potentially increasing thickness and optical bonding challenges. Digital printing can also print multiple colors simultaneously, unlike the sequential approach of screen printing. Digital printing is Highly durable, long lasting, and resistant to scratching, so it's an excellent choice for a beautiful glass packaging product.
